An Official website of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Unified Classification of Educational Specializations is a national framework developed by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to organize and standardize the naming of educational specializations across different levels of education and training.

The classification aims to establish a unified terminology for academic disciplines among educational institutions, employers, and both public and private sector entities.

The classification follows a hierarchical structure that begins with major educational fields, followed by sub-fields and then specific specializations.

Each specialization is assigned a standardized code, which facilitates its classification and statistical analysis.

This system contributes to aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs, supporting educational and workforce planning, and improving the quality of data related to academic programs and graduates.

In addition, the Saudi Unified Classification supports greater alignment between academic programs and national development priorities.

It also assists government entities in conducting studies and statistical analyses, and in developing educational and labor market policies.

The classification is widely used by universities, educational institutions, and government agencies to ensure consistency in specialization titles and to enable easier comparison at both the national and international levels.

The Unified Saudi Classification for Educational Levels and Specializations issued by the Council of Ministers' decision No. (75) dated 27/1/1442 AH, including any amendments or updates that may occur.
