About the Department:

Established per Higher Education Council Resolution No. (10/50/1429) and Royal Decree No. (10209/M.B.) dated 30/12/1429H.
Commenced teaching in the first semester of the 1430-1431H (2009-2010) academic year.
Originally founded in 1397H/1977M as the "Foreign Languages Department" within the College of Education at King Abdulaziz University's Madinah branch.
Renamed to "Languages and Translation Department" after the establishment of Taibah University in 1424H, and transferred to the College of Arts and Humanities upon its inception in 1430H/2009.
