Research Interest
The major clinical and research interests of Dr. Almontashiri involve the “Mendeliome” of consanguineous populations, candidate genes discovery and functional characterization, and laboratory developed tests and clinical validation. Raising the awareness of autosomal recessive diseases associated with consanguinity is one of his interests to reduce the burden of the inherited disorders.
