Hussam Yahya Mohmmad ALHARBI

My research focuses on modifying natural polymers like cellulose, alginate, chitosan, and synthetic polymers such as phenolic resins to enhance their performance in specialized applications. My work includes creating molecularly and ionically imprinted polymers for the selective separation of chiral drugs and metal ions, developing hydrogels for advanced drug delivery systems, and addressing environmental challenges through innovative methods for extracting heavy and precious metal ions from wastewater. I also focus on synthesizing novel organic compounds for pharmaceuticals, and materials science, emphasizing green chemistry, and sustainability.
