The Health-Promoting University Initiative (Taibah Health) is one of the strategic initiatives under the Campus Environment Program. It contributes to achieving the strategic objective of “Developing and Sustaining the Campus Environment” within Taibah University’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan. The initiative aims to build a health-supportive university environment that promotes well-being, enhances quality of life, increases productivity, strengthens institutional belonging, and fosters sustainable healthy practices among all members of the university community.
The initiative is founded on integrating health promotion principles across all aspects of the university environment through the development of health-supportive policies and practices, the promotion of health awareness and positive behaviors, and the provision of an educational and workplace environment that encourages healthy and sustainable lifestyles. Its scope encompasses physical, mental, social, and environmental well-being.
The initiative also leverages education, scientific research, university services, extracurricular activities, and community partnerships to advance health and quality of life. It aligns with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the Quality of Life Program, while reinforcing Taibah University’s position as a leading national model in adopting and advancing the Health-Promoting University concept.
