AT TAIBAH UNIVERSITY
Position: Applications are invited for a full Professorial rank to fill in a Faculty Chair position in Operation and Maintenance Technology, College of Engineering, Taibah University, Madinah Munawwarah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, effective immediately.
Academic Requirement: Preference will be given to those having a Ph.D. in the areas related to Operation and Maintenance Technology and have had sound teaching experience in the related courses at university level. Full professors with outstanding scientific contributions and patents in the field are highly desirable.
Expected Assignments: The successful candidate will be expected to:
• teach courses and undertake research in the areas related to the objective of the Chair.
• develop a research base in operation and maintenance technology at Taibah University in particular and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a whole.
• conduct research in the frontiers of knowledge on technological aspects of operation and maintenance that will have impact and significance.
• educate and train young Saudis on research and consultation in the area of operation and maintenance.
• develop new technologies to improve reliability of equipment and systems.
• provide scientific and technological support for removing any bottle-necks in the smooth, safe and economic operation of any kind of equipment.
• design and modify existing equipment to improve operation and maintenance.
