Course Description
This is a skill-based course that focuses on developing the general and academic English language skills of the students. The course is a pre-requisite for the ENG102 course. It develops students’ language skills and competencies by exposing them to a variety of general and academic contexts at the beginner and elementary language levels. In addition, the course builds the students' abilities in the language use area through equipping them with a wide range of vocabulary and grammatical structures. Moreover, the course develops the learners' cognitive skills such as analyzing, criticizing, synthesizing, and evaluating which are needed by the students at the university stage.
