Admission Requirements for Diploma and Bachelor’s Programs

  • The applicant must be Saudi or the child of a Saudi mother or father.
  • The applicant must hold a General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent.
  • Admission to health specializations is limited to graduates of the last two academic years only, starting with the graduates of 1445 AH.
  • The validity period of aptitude and achievement test scores is determined by the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), Ministry of Education.
  • The minimum required composite weighted score for admission to health specializations is 85% for male and female students across the university.
  • The minimum required composite weighted score for admission to other specializations is 70% for male and female students across the university.
  • A newly admitted student is not permitted to request a transfer between the university’s branches during the first academic year.
  • Admission is cancelled for any student who does not commence study in the first semester and has not submitted a request for deferment.
  • A withdrawn student may not reapply to the university (under a new ID or record) until two years have passed from the date of withdrawal.
  • The applicant must not be currently enrolled in, previously accepted to, or have obtained a bachelor’s or diploma degree from the same university or another university.
  • The applicant must not have been dismissed for disciplinary or academic reasons from any public university in the Kingdom or any other university. If proven otherwise, the university reserves the right to cancel the admission.
  • The applicant must be medically fit.
  • The applicant’s physical and psychological condition must be suitable for admission into health specializations. If otherwise discovered, the university reserves the right to transfer the student’s admission to another specialization within the university.
  • The university does not grant more than two admission opportunities to a student, meaning that a student may not obtain more than two student ID numbers throughout their academic life at the university.
  • Categories of students with disabilities who are exempted from aptitude and achievement tests, as per the decision of the University Affairs Council, may apply for admission based on their high school GPA to the programs available in the College of Arts and Humanities and the Applied College Diplomas.
  • Students with disabilities who wish to compete for admission into all other available programs must take both the aptitude and achievement tests.

Admission of Students with Disabilities

Taibah University is committed to providing opportunities for students with disabilities who wish to pursue their studies. A number of seats are allocated in programs available to them depending on the type of disability and their health condition. To facilitate and expedite their admission, the Deanship of Admission and Registration has updated the admission mechanism to allow students with disabilities to apply during the admission period, with their data being retrieved automatically, while adhering to the general rules and regulations governing admission. These include:

  • The type of disability and the student’s health condition should not prevent them from performing and applying the essential skills required to complete the academic program to which they are admitted.
  • The student must pass the required tests and personal interviews specified for the program they are applying to.
