The University Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research provides dedicated support for twenty research projects conducted by graduate students, with the aim of encouraging students to carry out high-quality, targeted research that contributes to enhancing the quality of scientific outputs. This initiative aligns with the University’s strategic plan objectives in supporting targeted scientific publishing and promoting research excellence. Funding is allocated based on application priority and the extent to which applicants meet the approved terms and conditions.
To support graduate student research projects that address the University’s research priorities.
To encourage graduate students to publish scientific research in peer-reviewed journals.
Registered and regularly enrolled master’s and doctoral students in the University’s graduate programs.
One year from the launch date of the initiative:
23/12/2025 – 03/07/1447 AH.
The applicant must be a registered student in one of the University’s graduate programs (Master’s or PhD).
The submitted research must align with the University’s research priorities.
The research must be original and not previously funded by another entity, to ensure support for new and distinguished research.
The applicant must adhere to research ethics and integrity standards.
The research must be conducted under the supervision of a specialized academic faculty member at the University.
The research proposal must be approved by the relevant scientific councils.
The applicant must commit to publishing the research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Taibah University must be listed as the sole affiliation on the published research paper, in accordance with Article (42) of the Executive Rules of the Research and Innovation Regulations.
An acknowledgement must be included in the published research recognizing Taibah University as the sole funding entity within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with reference to the project code and number. The acknowledgement must be stated as follows:
“This scientific research paper was derived from a research grant funded by Taibah University, Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - with the grant number (1447-06).”
The academic supervisor must be a member of one of the University’s research centers and must commit to including affiliation with both the University and the research center, in accordance with Article (42) of the Executive Rules of the Research and Innovation Regulations.
The student or the academic supervisor submits the research proposal approved by the relevant scientific councils within the specified application period.
The application must include the approved research proposal and, where applicable, approval from the Research Ethics Committee.
The Administration of Graduate Studies conducts a preliminary review to verify compliance with requirements; applications that do not meet the terms and conditions will be excluded.
Eligible proposals are referred to the competent committee at the Administration of Graduate Studies for scientific and methodological evaluation by specialized reviewers.
The committee issues a recommendation for approval or rejection, with justification.
Nominated projects are submitted to the Standing Committee for Graduate Studies through the Administration of Graduate Studies for approval of project funding.
Approved projects are forwarded by the Administration of Graduate Studies to the Administration of Scientific Research.
The approved projects are submitted to the Administration of Scientific Research to complete funding procedures according to the approved budget.
The Administration of Graduate Studies monitors the funded research projects.
The applicant must comply with the procedures for closing the research project and submit the final report and the following required documents:
The research project closure form.
The final report, along with any supporting documents related to project expenses or publication costs.
