His Excellency Taibah University Rector Dr. Adnan Bin Abd Allah Al Mazrooa launched today the strategic plan for university's Faculty of Medicine till the year 1440 AH during his inspection tour of faculty departments and laboratories and its facilities. During this tour he met with Faculty Dean Dr. Abdel Kader Bin Reda Allam and faculty deputies and teaching staff members in addition to sharing students one classroom lecture and ensuring the flow of study and listened to teaching staff members and faculty affiliates about their needs and hindrances which face them, giving the instructions to work on providing these needs and to eliminate all obstacles.
Faculty of Medicine Dean Dr. Abdel Kader Bin Reda Allam said after the launch of the strategic plan for the faculty that the true success must be built on basics of strategic planning based on correct understanding and accurate analysis of realty and available potentials and on what we can reach, therefore the formulation of faculty strategy was insisted upon, which emerged from the general university strategy which explains the features of main orientations which the university adopts till the year 1440. Dr. Allam unveiled 27 executive projects that will be executed as a part of the plan, one of its most important is the construction of University Hospital and its setup in the location of University medical city which is being executed currently, the construction and equipping of Faculty of Medicine building in University medical city for male and female students, the construction and equipping of animal house for research purposes and to form scientific courses on diabetic neuropathy researches and course on autism researches and courses on early detection of cancer and a development of a master program in diseases management in crises and gatherings and its related diseases is being studied, and especially what is related to Hajj and Umrah through a common program between family medicine and society department and internal medicine and a development of a master program in laboratory medicine. There is also a study of a greater insertion of diseases related to gatherings and crises in curricula especially what is related to Hajj and Umrah. Dr. Allam added that the strategic plan includes the signing of a service contract with the Canadian university of Calgary to develop bachelor program in the university which includes the development of curricula and exchange program of final year students. An agreement of cooperation was also signed with health affairs in national guards in Medina region. Furthermore, the work on updating and support of cooperation agreement with health affairs in Medina all of which to achieve the faculty vision to be leading and distinguished in modern medical education and aspires to be a radiation research center in medical sciences to enhance health services and it seeks global fame as well as it works through its message to create reactive medical educational environment based on the student and to establish modern postgraduate programs and to create an innovation stimulating atmosphere and rooting the manners of a Muslim doctor and medical professionalism and keeping original social values and to provide an international level of research atmosphere for teaching staff members and postgraduate students and to participate in providing an integrated special health care for Medina society.
It is noteworthy that the team of strategic plan for Faculty of Medicine included Dr. Omar Bin Mansoor Al Nozha Faculty of Medicine Deputy Quality as a chief of the team, Dr. Moaz Mojadady as a decision maker with partnership of Dr. Hassan Yemany, Dr. Sami Al Qaidy, Dr. Hamdi Al Maramhi, Dr. Abdel Mohsen Al Zalabani and female doctors Inas Taha and Sherine Al Tarhouni.
His excellency also visited Faculty of Pharmacy and listened to a detailed explanation of the works and academic programs it accomplishes which was presented be dean of faculty Prof. Dr. Ismail Niazy, and listened to the needs of the faculty and met a number of teaching staff and students.
