The affiliates of Taibah University and its students performed Istisqa prayer today Monday at the University Mosque in following the example of Sunna of our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by performing Istisqa prayer in the event of need of countries and people to rain falling, and in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz (May Allah Save Him) who ordered the performance of Istisqa prayer all over the Kingdom. The Dean of the Higher Institute of Imam and Preachers Dr. Obaid Al Omary, who led the worshippers, talked on Istisqa, judgment, and description, urging worshippers on the necessity of repentance and  quitting oppression, fasting. giving alms, forgiveness ,and supplication, pinpointing that Muslims should get out for Istisqa prayer if the land is barren and rains to be withheld. In his discourse, the preacher mentioned the importance of Istisqa by humility, need to Allah, resorting to his omnipotence ,and taking refuge to his mercy, and that rains do not cease except on account of guilt, sins, and dereliction. He pointed out that water is the cause of prosperity, and without it, Man lives in evil and hardship and that rain deficiency exposes Man and animals to extinction, The preacher affirmed ,in his discourse, the importance of changing the conditions from disobedience to obedience, and from sins to good deed and declaring repentance and keeping righteous deeds.
