The Kingdom is the World’s Third Powerful Narcotics  Control  AuthorityTaibah University Organizes a Meeting of Narcotics Refusal Skills
 The Vice-Presidency of the Students Affairs Deanship in Taibah University represented in Creativity  and Initiative Club and in cooperation with the General   Directorate of Narcotics Control organized a meeting entitled “ Narcotics Refusal Skills” in the Faculty of Medicine’ s theater in the female students section in the presence of the Vice-President of the Students Affairs Deanship Dr. Maryam Bint Saleh Al Ghamdi and the Vice- President of University Studies Deanship Dr. Fawzeyah Saad Al Sobhy , female Faculty Members, female employees and students.
The meeting started by a speech by the vice- President of Students Affairs Deanship Dr. Maryam Al Ghamdi which she set about by welcoming the lecture and attendees and she pinpointed the significance of  the awareness of the harmful effects of drugs which devastate community and that have recently spread to pose a peril threatening everyone.
Afterwards, the Awareness Specialist and Certified Trainer in the Women Affairs Department in the Narcotics Control Directorate in Riyadh Mrs. Nawal Mansour Al Zamel talked about drugs, its detriments and effects on society and the narcotics spread in the Kingdom till the Kingdom became the third powerful narcotics control authority due to the drugs amount smuggled to the Kingdom and the diversity and methods of its smuggling. Al Zamel outlined that the ratio of women addicting drugs in the Kingdom according to statistics amounted to 3 %.
She stressed that the most circulated type in the community, particularly the students community is captagon bills which are widely circulated among students in the exams period and addicted by students under incorrect and fake pretexts, leading to distraction of ideas and mind. The most important riskiness of these bills is on students that can lead to death.
She clarified that energy beverages are not less dangerous than drugs. Hence, its repetitive usage affects mind and causes destruction of neurons and mental cells. She followed her speech by reviewing other drugs types regarded as the most deadly to Man, leading to  rapid addiction which often results in death such as heroine and cocaine. As well, she reviewed the detriments of doped hashish.
She said: silent addiction is the addition of medical psychiatric drugs as they result in addiction if not taken according to the dose prescribed by the physician and if taken without a medical consultation.
She concluded the meeting by tackling the causes leading to drugs addiction, notably the weakness of religious faith,  ignorance of the gravity of narcotics, escaping from reality, aping bad friends, psychological pressures, and blind confidence in others.
At the conclusion of her speech, she affirmed that most of the circulated drugs are fake and their passive effects are complicated as they are more serious and deadly. As well, the narcotics addict humiliates himself and dignity and sell it to get drugs. Also, jealousy is snatched from addict’s heart and he becomes unsympathetic, losing the ability to concentrate. Besides, several dialogues and interpositions revolved  around the subject of the meeting.
