Within the events of the second and last day of the first scientific meeting organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Taibah University entitled “ Modern Orientations in Pharmaceutical Sciences” at Taibah Hall at Meridian Hotel in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah.
The first scientific session was launched today morning through which Dr.  Mostafa Al Sayed, the Head of Laser Institute at the American Georgia Tech University and holder of the American National Sciences Medal which is regarded as the highest American Order for his achievements in the field of nanotechnology ,gave a lecture on nanotechnologies in cancer cells, while the Chairman of the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society Prof. Ibrahim Al Saraa reviewed , in his paper,the similar drugs which will be recently circulated in the drugs market. Dr. Hossam Ghareb,a Faculty Member at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Taibah University, submitted a worksheet on nanometric genes related to treating cancer. While Dr. Ikrami Khalil submitted a worksheet on developing nanometic devices to deliver  therapeutic genes effectively.
In the second session of the meeting events, Prof. Khairy Al Sayed, a Faculty Member at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Taibah University, presented an introduction on nanoparticles usages in delivering drugs. Dr. Ghazi Mohsen, the researcher in the Researches Chair of Waleed Al Kayali for Pharmaceutical Industries at King Saud University, reviewed in his paper the challenges and opportunities in manufacturing formulations for low solubility drugs .As well, Prof. Al Sayed Habib, a Faculty Member at the Faculty of Pharmacy submitted a worksheet on new antibiotics against viruses and bacteria.
At the third and last session, Nayzak company; one of the companies sponsoring the First Scientific Meeting, gave a lecture on the developments in laboratories devices and pharmaceutical compounds analysis devices.
The First Scientific Meeting concluded by honoring speakers, participants, and the organizing committees of the meeting.
