The Pledge Project, submitted by Taibah University in its suite participating in the Fourth International Fair and Conference of Higher Education sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud May Allah Save Him and organized by the Ministry of Higher Education concluding on coming Friday, impressed tens of visitors including researchers, specialists, and affiliates of diverse universities received by the suite over the past two days in the aftermath of launching the fair on Tuesday. His Excellency the Rector of Taibah University Dr. Adnan Bin Abdullah Al Mazrooa and its senior officials provided guests with an explanation of Pledge Project . As well, the project was a focus of a number of discussions through meetings and seminars involving the officials of Taibah University and a number of international universities. The project,  launched forty days ago, is summed up in the fact that it is a noble cooperative idea adopting conscious advancement of Taibah University in which all the university categories collaborate to upgrade the university. It is a part of the university’s strategic plan, launching from the university’s vision, message, and goals. It seeks focusing on prioritized matters to create an extensive quantum leap through effective participation in the external and internal society to create an attractive university environment, participating in upgrading the educational process, and developing community so that Taibah will turn to be a lighthouse of knowledge and wisdom according to three axes including the educational process, community development, and scientific research. The project is expected to attain at its first phase a group of gains including the project of curricula development to restructure all academic courses in the university to be compatible with the labor market and employment authorities. As well, it will take into account the university’ s vision to ensure increasing the skills  and values dosage in academic programs at the expense of the large quantities of information to be compatible with the requirements of the national and international professional and academic accreditation authorities and completing the University Values and Customs Project in the academic curricula, and including them in the university life in general, and academic curricula in particular, completing the project of developing and assessing the Faculty Members performance, completing the distance education to be an alternative for affiliation program and to increase current researches at a ratio of 50 % quantitatively and qualitatively during the project’s first phase and obtaining program accreditation by at least 40 % of the Bachelor programs.
