Taibah University has launched its new identity and strategy, aligned with the University Leadership Initiative, which aims to differentiate universities, improve the ranking of Saudi universities in global classifications, enhance competitiveness, and fulfill national and regional development requirements. This strategic move seeks to achieve academic leadership and enhance the quality of university life, positioning Taibah University as a preferred academic destination for both students and researchers.

Through its new strategy, based on three main pillarsEducation and Promising Capabilities, Research Orientation, and Community Partnership—the university aims to provide an outstanding academic environment and competitive evaluation through high-quality education, training, research, effective partnerships, innovation support, and community impact enhancement. The strategy includes projects that embrace initiatives and investments to strengthen education, research, and technical domains, such as constructing new college buildings and research centers, implementing digital transformation projects and the university portal, and introducing new academic programs for diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, and postgraduate studies, all while maintaining a modern and advanced learning environment.

The strategy programs are closely aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, including:

  • Competitive Graduate Program: Aims to achieve the strategic objectives of the first pillar, Education and Promising Capabilities, by preparing graduates capable of competing in the labor market in line with national human capital development goals. The program also develops a flexible and comprehensive academic system that meets modern requirements, supports students’ academic and professional ambitions, enhances future skills, and strengthens core competencies.

  • Institutional Transformation Program: Seeks a qualitative shift in the university’s organizational and administrative structure, enhancing operational efficiency, promoting transparency and accountability, advancing digital transformation across university sectors, and improving the beneficiary experience by providing innovative, high-quality services using the latest technologies, thereby boosting the university’s national and international standing.

  • Research Identity Program: Focuses on building and developing a distinctive research orientation, enhancing the university’s research reputation through a stimulating research environment, prioritizing innovation-driven research, equipping research centers with advanced technologies, and advancing applied research.

  • Financial Sustainability Program: Aims to strengthen the university’s financial independence by diversifying revenue sources, improving the efficiency of financial resource use, developing investment opportunities in the university’s knowledge and non-knowledge assets, and ensuring sustainable returns. It also focuses on enhancing expenditure efficiency through review and analysis, identifying areas for improvement, reducing waste, and maximizing benefit through initiatives that elevate financial performance.

  • Strategic Partnerships Program: Seeks to enhance academic and research collaboration with government entities, non-profit organizations, private sector companies, and local and international industrial partners. It enables students to gain practical experience through student exchanges and cooperative training, supports faculty research and research groups through strategic partnerships, enhances education quality by supporting diverse specializations, and provides a platform for alumni engagement to strengthen their career paths, consolidating the university’s role as a leading academic and research destination.

  • University Environment Program: Aims to create an integrated educational and healthy environment that supports the quality of life for students, faculty, and staff. This includes promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports and wellness facilities, supporting mental health with counseling and awareness services, achieving environmental sustainability through eco-friendly practices, improving campus infrastructure, enhancing student services, facilitating campus mobility, and strengthening security and safety, contributing to a sustainable and attractive campus that enriches both education and university life.

This comprehensive strategy positions Taibah University to excel in academic leadership, research innovation, and community engagement, fully supporting national development objectives and Vision 2030 priorities.
