The initiative aims to support active research groups within the Energy, Industry, and Advanced Technologies Research Center (EIATRC) various units, including energy, nanotechnology and semiconductors, manufacturing, communications and networks, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. This will be achieved by enabling these groups to use the center’s laboratories more efficiently, developing the current equipment system, and improving the quality of scientific outputs such as published research, graduation projects, and patents.

Objectives

  • Supporting active research groups and enabling them to use the center’s laboratories more efficiently.

  • Developing the center’s equipment system and research infrastructure.

  • Reducing reliance on external entities for conducting experiments and tests.

  • Accelerating research progress and improving the quality of scientific and applied outputs.

  • Enhancing opportunities for scientific publication, patents, and application-oriented graduation projects.

Target Group

Approved research groups at the Energy, Industry, and Modern Technologies Research Center.

Support Tracks

Logistical and Operational Support Track

This includes:

  • Developing the efficiency of solar cell analysis systems within the center.

  • Upgrading the 3D printing system to enhance manufacturing and prototyping capabilities.

  • Enabling remote access to the center’s high-performance computing resources.

  • Supporting the material preparation and measurement system in semiconductor laboratories.

  • Enhancing the experimental environment for wireless communication systems.

Terms and Conditions

  • The research group must be approved by the Energy, Industry, and Modern Technologies Research Center.

  • The research group must consist of 3 to 9 members.

  • Taibah University affiliates must represent at least 50% of the total research group members.

  • Compliance with university regulations, research ethics, and laboratory and equipment use policies is required.

  • The support shall be used only for approved research purposes.

  • The supervising entity reserves the right to organize support priorities according to readiness and operational capacity.
