The research field must fall within Taibah University’s research priorities and areas.
The researcher must be a member of one of the university’s research centers and must include the affiliation of the university and the research center in accordance with Article 42 of the Executive Rules of the Scientific Research and Innovation Regulations.
The scientific paper must be published in a journal classified as Q1 or Q2. The report year and journal category shall be determined as follows:
If the scientific paper is submitted during the period from January 1 to June 30, the Clarivate database report from two years prior to the submission date will be adopted.
If the scientific paper is submitted during the period from July 1 to December 31, the Clarivate database report from the year preceding the submission date will be adopted.
The scientific paper must be published in a journal indexed in the Web of Science (ISI) database.
Publication in journals classified under Web of Science – Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) will not be accepted.
Until the allocated financial budget for the initiative is exhausted.
The corresponding author or first author must be from Taibah University.
The research submitted under this initiative must not have received financial support from any other program or initiative, whether from within or outside the university.
The research proposal, or any part of it, must not have been previously published or supported by any entity inside or outside the university.
The research submitted to the initiative must be original research and classified as an “Article”; other types of publications will not be accepted.
Taibah University must be the sole institutional affiliation of the university’s researchers. The researcher must write the institutional affiliation, including the college and research center, according to the wording stipulated in Article 42 of the Executive Rules of the Scientific Research and Innovation Regulations.
The total support amount depends on the budgets allocated to the initiative, the number of eligible applications submitted, and the approved disbursement plans of the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
Preliminary approval does not constitute a final financial commitment. The disbursement of the reward depends on the project’s fulfillment of the initiative requirements and the availability of financial allocation.
The researcher may obtain a maximum of one project number as the principal investigator, while being allowed to participate in other projects as a co-investigator.
The research project reward will be disbursed after final approval and contract signing, in accordance with Table 1 and based on Article 31 of the Executive Rules of the Scientific Research and Innovation Regulations.
The support covers researchers’ rewards only, according to each track as shown in Table 1 and subject to the financial allocations available for the initiative.
The reward is allocated only to researchers from Taibah University.
Duplicate applications with the same title or applications related to previously published research will not be accepted.
Acknowledgement must be given in the published research to Taibah University as the sole funding entity from within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with reference to the project code and research project number. The acknowledgement must follow the wording below:
“This scientific paper is derived from a research grant funded by Taibah University, Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - with grant number (xxxxxxx).”
Any application that does not use the exact acknowledgement wording specified above in the scientific paper will be rejected.
Full compliance with the rules and standards of research ethics and scientific integrity is required.
The corresponding author or first author registers the project through the link and attaches evidence that the research is at the submission, peer-review, or revision stage, such as a draft or submission notification.
If the requirements are fulfilled, the researcher will be notified of preliminary approval, and a project number will be assigned for use in the acknowledgement statement.
Once the research is published, the application for the reward is completed by attaching a copy of the published scientific paper and the required forms.
The research team must ensure that the target journal meets the announced requirements of the initiative.
