The Saudi Business Journal (SBJ) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Taibah University. It publishes original research in both Arabic and English across all areas of business and economics. The journal adheres to international standards of peer review and publication ethics, striving for global visibility and inclusion in reputable indexing databases. SBJ is published electronically twice a year.

Scope of the Journal

SBJ welcomes submissions across all fields of business and economics, including (but not limited to):

Management, Leadership, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Finance, Corporate Governance, Marketing, Business Ethics and Sustainability, Economics, Management Information Systems, and Supply Chain Management, as well as emerging topics in these domains.

Publication Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be original and not published or under consideration elsewhere.
  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process by at least two external reviewers.
  • Authors commit to submitting original works  that fully document all sources,ensure proper citation,confirm the absence  of plagiarisme,and  strictly  adhere  to COPE ethical standards.
  • Manuscripts should not exceed 12,000 words, including tables, appendices, and references.
  • Each paper must include two abstracts (Arabic and English, up to 300 words each) and 3–6 keywords.
  • Formatting: Arabic text – Simplified Arabic, font size 14; English text – Times New Roman, size 12.
  • References must follow the APA 6th Edition style.
  • Arabic references should appear first, followed by non-Arabic sources, with a separate transliteration list of Arabic references.
  • Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially, with their sources clearly indicated.
  • Authors may inquire about the manuscript status 60 days after submission.
  • The views expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the journal or Taibah University.

Types of Accepted Research

SBJ welcomes a variety of methodological approaches, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods, across business and economics research.

Priority is given to:

  • Applied research with clear objectives, sound methodology, analytical rigor, and practical implications.

  • Theoretical studies emphasizing conceptual development, systematic literature review, and key analytical insights.

Authors should prepare manuscripts in accordance with the journal’s formatting requirements and submit both Microsoft Word and PDF versions to:
