his course examines the historical development of textile printing and dyeing and explores the various methods of textile printing, with particular reference to contemporary developments such as digital printing. It further addresses the preliminary treatment of cellulosic materials and the fundamentals of their dyeing with different classes of dyes, as well as the preliminary treatment of protein-based materials and the principles of their dyeing with acid dyes. In addition, the course examines the processes involved in improving the properties of cellulosic fibers and fabrics, while providing practical training in selected textile printing and dyeing techniques.
