About the Journal

The Journal of Taibah University for Arts and Humanities is a peer-reviewed scientific journal issued by the College of Arts and Humanities at Taibah University. It publishes original research and studies in both Arabic and English.

International Standard Serial Number (ISSN): 1658-6662.
The journal was established in 2011 and continues to be published regularly, with four issues per year.

Editorial Board

Journal Publication Guidelines

• Manuscripts submitted for publication must not have been previously published, even by the same author, nor submitted for publication elsewhere. If accepted for publication, they may not be published in Arabic or in any other language elsewhere.
• If it is proven that a paper published in the journal had previously been published in another journal, even by the same author, the journal has the right to take the appropriate legal procedures.
• The journal will not review a second manuscript by the same author until four issues have been published after the publication of the author’s first paper in the journal.
• The researcher must submit a publication request including contact and correspondence details, an intellectual property declaration, a CV, and a commitment not to publish the paper elsewhere. These attachments are uploaded through the journal’s website.
• Submitting a manuscript through the journal’s website is considered acceptance by the researcher of the journal’s publication guidelines.
• The journal does not respond to researchers’ inquiries about the status of their manuscripts until 60 days, two months, have passed from the date the manuscript was received by the journal.
• The journal does not receive manuscripts during mid-year and end-of-year academic holidays, according to the academic calendar of Taibah University published on the University website.
• Manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to peer review by specialized reviewers approved by the journal. The Editorial Board has the right to determine whether a manuscript is eligible for review.
• Scientific materials and research papers are submitted electronically via the journal’s email.
• Qur’anic verses in scientific research in Sharia sciences must be written according to the Madinah Mushaf for computer publishing.
• The manuscript must not exceed 12,000 words, including the Arabic and English abstracts and keywords.
• Each manuscript must include two abstracts, one in Arabic and one in English, with each abstract not exceeding 300 words.
• Between 4 and 6 keywords must be included as a maximum, written in both Arabic and English.
• Texts and quotations must be documented using one unified scientific referencing method throughout the entire manuscript.
• Reference list preparation guidelines: the reference list should include only works cited in the manuscript and should be arranged alphabetically.
• Arabic sources must be romanized in Latin letters in a separate list.
• The content published in the journal represents the views of its authors and does not necessarily represent the views of the journal.

Manuscript Submission Guidelines

• The researcher must submit an electronic copy of the manuscript in MS Word format, including footnotes, references, tables, and appendices, according to the formatting template.
• The researcher must submit a declaration confirming that the manuscript has not been previously published, has not been submitted to other publication venues, and will not be submitted elsewhere at the same time until the review process is completed.
• The first page of the manuscript must include the title of the research in Arabic and English, the name of the researcher or researchers, workplace or study affiliation, address in Arabic and English, telephone number, mobile number, and email address. To ensure complete confidentiality in the review process, the researcher’s name or any indication revealing their identity must not appear anywhere else in the manuscript.
• The manuscript must include an Arabic abstract and an English abstract, each on a separate page, including the title of the research but without mentioning the name of the researcher or researchers.
• The researcher bears responsibility in the event of clear violation of several publication rules, and the journal may decline publication of the manuscript.
• If the manuscript is accepted for publication after revisions, the researcher must submit an electronic copy of the revised manuscript without the author’s name, and another electronic copy with the author’s name and full details.

Important Notes

• The journal does not receive manuscripts during mid-year and end-of-year academic holidays, according to Taibah University’s academic calendar available on the University website.
• Before submitting manuscripts to the journal, researchers must format their papers according to the journal’s template.
• Researchers are requested to comply with the journal’s publication guidelines, especially the word limit of 12,000 words, which must not be exceeded.
• All ideas published in the journal represent the opinions of their authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the journal.
