Admission to postgraduate programs (Master’s and Doctoral) at Taibah University is conducted in accordance with Article (15) of the Regulations Governing Graduate Studies and their approved executive rules. Programs and admission requirements are approved by the University Council and announced through the university’s official website and channels. Applications are submitted electronically via the Admission Portal within the announced timeframe.
Applications for admission are submitted through the Admission Portal during the specified period.
Applicants must be Saudi nationals, or the child of a Saudi mother, or a mother of a Saudi citizen.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree for admission to the respective programs.
For non-Saudis, applications must be submitted through the Study in Saudi Arabia Platform (https://studyinsaudi.moe.gov.sa/) in accordance with the available programs and requirements.
For certificates obtained outside Saudi Arabia, an equivalency certificate issued by the Ministry of Education must be attached (if applicable).
Selection is carried out electronically based on weighted averages (binary/ternary), according to the general and specific requirements for each program:
Binary Weighted Average: 60% Bachelor’s/Master’s degree + 40% General Aptitude Test for University Graduates.
Ternary Weighted Average: 60% Bachelor’s degree + 30% General Aptitude Test for University Graduates + 10% written exam and personal interview.
Applicants must have taken the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates.
A non-refundable registration fee of 300 SAR is required for graduate programs.
The validity of the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates and the English language proficiency tests is determined by the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas).
Validity of international language tests: IELTS / TOEFL: 2 years.
Minimum required scores:
STEP: 67
IELTS: 4.5
TOEFL iBT: 45
TOEFL PBT: 450
All documents must be uploaded clearly and accurately in PDF format.
Teaching assistants and lecturers must provide an official scholarship decision if accepted, in order to complete admission procedures before the start of the semester.
Admission results will be announced via the Graduate Admission Portal.
No modifications to application data are allowed after the application period closes.
The applicant must not be currently enrolled at Taibah University or any other university.
The applicant is fully responsible for the accuracy of all information provided. The university reserves the right to cancel admission or enrollment if any discrepancies are found.
Re-enrollment is not permitted if a student withdraws after being admitted to a graduate program.
Deferral of admission, postponement of study, or withdrawal from courses is not permitted in the first semester.
Admission offers must be confirmed within 48 hours of the announcement of results through the Admission Portal.
Admitted students are subject to all university regulations and policies.
Students admitted to programs requiring preparatory (bridging) courses must pass them on the first attempt with a minimum grade of Very Good, and maintain a cumulative GPA of Very Good in these courses.
Graduate program lectures (Master’s/PhD) are conducted in person, during evening sessions.
For applicants who are children of a Saudi mother: a copy of the birth certificate, the mother’s family card, and a valid residency permit (Iqama).
A copy of English proficiency test results (TOEFL / IELTS / STEP) for programs that require English language proficiency.
Note: Results of the General Aptitude Test for University Graduates will be retrieved electronically from the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas).
