Admission to Graduate Programs 

Admission to postgraduate programs (Master’s and Doctoral) at Taibah University is conducted in accordance with Article (15) of the Regulations Governing Graduate Studies and their approved executive rules. Programs and admission requirements are approved by the University Council and announced through the university’s official website and channels. Applications are submitted electronically via the Admission Portal within the announced timeframe.

Admission Requirements for Graduate Studies

  1. Nomination for admission is available through the admission platform during the specified period.
  2. The applicant must be Saudi, or the child of a Saudi mother, or a female applicant who is the mother of a Saudi citizen.
  3. The applicant for postgraduate programs must be a graduate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree certificate.
  4. The Bachelor’s GPA must not be less than “Good,” according to the following table:

  5. Submission of a certificate equivalency from the Ministry of Education for degrees obtained outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (if applicable).
     
  6. Admission selection is conducted automatically based on weighted criteria (binary/triple) according to the specific requirements of each program, as follows:
  7. Binary weighted score: 60% for the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 40% for the General Aptitude Test for university graduates.
  8. Triple weighted score: 60% for the Bachelor’s degree, 30% for the General Aptitude Test for university graduates, and 10% for a written test or personal interview.
  9. The applicant must have taken the General Aptitude Test for university graduates.
  10. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of SAR 300 for postgraduate programs.
  11. The validity period of the General Aptitude Test for university graduates and the English language proficiency test is determined by the National Center for Assessment.

  12. The validity of other language tests (IELTS/TOEFL) is two years for all programs.
  13. The minimum required scores for language tests apply to all programs according to the following table:
•Required Documents for Saudi Applicants
  1. A copy of the graduation certificate.
  2. A copy of the academic transcript (grade report).
  3. A copy of the national ID.
  4. A birth certificate for applicants who are children of Saudi mothers, along with the family registry (family card) for the Saudi mother, in addition to a copy of a valid residence permit (Iqama).
  5. A copy of an English language proficiency test result (TOEFL, IELTS, STEP, or Duolingo) for programs that require English proficiency.
  6. Other documents as required by the department.
  7. Submission of the applicant’s bank IBAN certificate.
