The program is an initiative that aims to provide scientific talents, including bachelor’s and master’s degree holders and postgraduate students, with the opportunity to participate voluntarily in the university’s research environment and contribute to the implementation of scientific projects under the supervision of faculty members. This supports the development of research capacities, enhances the quality of scientific outputs, and contributes to building qualified cadres across various disciplines.

The program targets Saudi nationals and residents, on a full-time or part-time basis, with applications open throughout the year according to available research opportunities and the needs of faculty members.

The program is based on promoting impact-oriented research that links scientific knowledge with solutions to developmental challenges, supporting the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives in vital fields including health, energy, industry, artificial intelligence, genetic sciences, and other basic and applied sciences.

Objectives

  • Direct practical training under the supervision of faculty members to develop research and innovation skills.

  • Enhancing research and innovation output in collaboration with Taibah University’s research centers.

  • Building academic and research networks with researchers and scientific teams.

  • Contributing to enhancing the CVs and scientific and professional experience of program participants.

  • Obtaining a training completion certificate in accordance with the program’s requirements.

Commitments

  • Submitting a summary or research report upon completion of the program.

  • Complying with all Taibah University regulations, policies, and approved procedures.

  • Following all security, safety, and infection-control instructions and requirements.

Application Process

The applicant registers on the platform and selects the appropriate track from the following tracks:

First: Research Matching Track

For those wishing to gain research experience within one of the university’s research centers, without requiring a predefined research project.

Second: Available Research Opportunities Track

The applicant selects a research opportunity announced through the program’s official website.

Third: Research Groups Joining Track

For those wishing to join research groups affiliated with the research centers.

Fourth: Direct Collaboration Track

Direct collaboration between the applicant and a faculty member on mutually agreed research tasks.

The following documents must be attached:

  • Preliminary approval letter from the host center, if available, or from the faculty member.

  • Copy of academic qualification.

  • CV, including a list of published research, if available.

  • A facilitation letter for postgraduate students, issued by the relevant reference body and addressed to the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Taibah University.

  • The application will be reviewed by the Scientific Research Administration in coordination with the host research center.

  • The final admission decision will be issued, and the applicant will be officially notified.

Admission Criteria

All program tracks are subject to selection by the supervising faculty member, based on the applicant’s suitability and the needs of the research project. The process does not require formal review procedures. Applications are considered based on the alignment of the applicant’s scientific background, skills, and suitability for the nature of the required research work.
