The Automation of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Services Initiative aims to develop the full cycle of research service delivery within the university through a unified digital platform based on a business accelerator system.

The initiative focuses on enabling faculty members and researchers to submit, process, and track requests electronically, transforming traditional procedures into a highly efficient technical system. It also provides smart approval workflows and analytical reports that contribute to improving the quality of research outputs and accelerating institutional procedures.

The system aims to support and facilitate research-related procedures through activated services, including excellence allowance, scientific publication, patents, conference participation, and sabbatical leave. It will also expand to include graduate studies services, academic promotions, and research chairs, within an integrated digital vision that supports the university’s institutional transformation.

Track One: Activated Scientific Research Services

This track includes the electronic registration, submission, and processing of research services, such as:

  • Conference and Meeting Services:

    • Application to attend or participate in a scientific conference

    • Request to hold a meeting within the university

Track Two: Academic Promotion Services

This track supports academic promotion procedures through the system by enabling faculty members to submit promotion requests and track their progress electronically.

Track Three: Research Chair Services

This track manages and documents research chair requests within the university by enabling researchers and academic entities to submit requests to establish or operate a research chair electronically.

Track Four: Graduate Studies Services

This track includes the development of academic and research procedures related to graduate studies and academic committees, with multi-level approval workflows.

Track Five: Academic Resignation Services

This track focuses on developing resignation procedures for faculty members and researchers by enabling electronic submission of resignation requests through the system and tracking them through a clear and defined approval workflow.

Requirements for Using the System

  • The applicant must be a faculty member or researcher at the university.

  • Compliance with research policies, publication ethics, and intellectual property regulations.

  • Availability of the required documents and attachments for each request.

  • Compliance with the approval workflows defined within the system.

  • Use of the official university email for submission and follow-up.

  • Uploading the required documents and attachments to the system.

  • Tracking the workflow and approval process through the specified academic levels.
