Requirements for Manuscript Acceptance in the Journal
 

Technical Requirements

• Manuscripts are submitted electronically through the journal’s website, and correspondence with the journal is conducted via its email address.

• The author/authors must prepare two abstracts: one in Arabic of no fewer than 200 words, and one in English of no fewer than 300 words.

• Keywords must be provided below both the Arabic and English abstracts. These should not exceed five keywords and should accurately reflect the main themes of the research.

• The manuscript submitted for publication must not exceed 8,000 words under any circumstances.

• Page margins should be as follows: top and bottom: 4.2 cm; right and left: 3 cm. Line spacing should be single.

• The main text should be written in Simplified Arabic, size 14, for Arabic text, and Times New Roman, size 12, for English text. Main headings in both languages should be in bold.

• Tables should be written in Simplified Arabic, size 11, for Arabic text, and Times New Roman, size 9, for English text. Table headings in both languages should be in bold.

• Authors must use Arabic numerals 1, 2, 3, etc. throughout the manuscript, including the main text, tables, figures, and references. Hindi numerals or any other numeral forms are not accepted.

• Page numbers should appear at the bottom centre of the page, starting from the Arabic abstract page, followed by the English abstract, and continuing through to the final page of the manuscript and references.

• The name of the author/authors must not appear in the manuscript, either explicitly or through any indication that may reveal their identity. The terms “the researcher” or “the researchers” should be used instead.

• The author/authors must provide a separate title page in both Arabic and English. This page should include the title of the research, the name of the author or participating authors, their specializations, academic degrees, and institutional affiliations. This page should then be followed by the manuscript pages, beginning with the first page that includes only the title of the research, followed by the Arabic and English abstracts, each on a separate page, and then the full manuscript.

Scientific Guidelines

• The research must demonstrate quality in its idea, style, methodology, scientific documentation, and must be free from linguistic and grammatical errors.

• The research should contribute to the development and advancement of educational thought and its applications locally, regionally, or internationally.

• The principal author must submit a signed declaration, also signed by all co-authors where applicable, confirming that the research has not been previously published, is not currently submitted for publication elsewhere, and will not be submitted to any other publication venue until the review and publication procedures in the journal are completed, or until the author is informed that the manuscript has not been accepted based on the reviewers’ decision. This should be submitted according to the journal’s approved form.

• The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  Applied research:
  The author/authors should provide an introduction that presents the nature of the research, its need, rationale, and variables. This should be followed by the research problem and questions, the research population and sample, tools, implementation procedures, statistical treatments or data analysis methods, then the presentation and discussion of results, followed by the recommendations derived from them.

  Theoretical research:
  The author/authors should provide an introduction that prepares the reader for the central idea discussed in the research, including the literature, importance of the study, and its scientific contribution to the field. The research methodology should then be presented, followed by sections that are clearly interconnected, with each section addressing a specific idea that forms part of the central research idea. The manuscript should conclude with a comprehensive summary that includes the most important findings.

• In both types of research, the reference list should be placed at the end of the manuscript, following the documentation style approved by the journal. Previous studies should be integrated within the body of the research, whether in the introduction or theoretical framework as appropriate, and must not be given a separate heading under any circumstances.

• Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially and independently within the text. Each table or figure should have its title placed above it and its source, where applicable, placed below it.

• Attention should be given to interpreting the research results in relation to the context of the population and sample, as well as the forces and factors affecting them, with comparison to previous studies where available.

• The documentation style approved by the journal is the American Psychological Association, 6th Edition (APA 6th ed.).

• Authors must document articles published in Arabic journals that appear in the Arabic reference list according to the following system:
  Arabic references should be listed at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order according to the last name of the first author, following the documentation style approved by the journal.

• The Arabic reference list should be followed by a list of foreign references, including translated Arabic references, arranged alphabetically in English according to the last name of the first author and according to the journal’s approved documentation style.

• If the details of an Arabic article listed in the references, including the author names, article title, and journal information, are already available in English in the original journal in which it was published, they should be written as they appear in the reference list, with the phrase (in Arabic) added in parentheses after the journal title.

• The original foreign terms or names should be written next to the Arabic wording. Examples include: University of Minnesota, Kubow, Tokugawa, Saint-Étienne, and UNICEF.
