About the Journal

The journal was established at Taibah University in 1425 AH / 2005 AD as an extension of the Journal of Educational Sciences, which was first issued in 1408 AH / 1987 AD by the College of Education, King Abdulaziz University branch, before the merger of the King Abdulaziz University and Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University branches by Royal Decree to establish Taibah University in 1424 AH / 2004 AD. It is a specialized, peer-reviewed quarterly journal issued by the College of Education and the Scientific Publishing Council at Taibah University.

The journal aims to support scholarship in the field of educational sciences, examine educational issues, propose recommendations to address them, and provide a distinguished academic platform for publishing original educational research. It publishes original educational studies, whether theoretical, applied, field-based, or professional, as well as reports on local, Arab, and international educational conferences, reviews of recent educational books, and summaries of purposeful postgraduate theses and dissertations. The journal is intended for professionals in the educational field, including academics and researchers, and accepts research papers for publication in both Arabic and English.

The Journal of Taibah University for Educational Sciences is issued twice a year as a semi-annual journal. The journal, in cooperation with the University Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, aspires to issue three volumes annually starting from 2015. It is distributed through complimentary copies, subscriptions, and book fairs in which the University participates.

To publish peer-reviewed scientific research in educational and psychological fields in accordance with international professional standards for accepting and publishing research.

Objectives

The journal aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • Publish rigorous peer-reviewed educational research that contributes to the advancement and development of societies.
  • Meet the needs of researchers locally, regionally, and globally by publishing educational research in both Arabic and English.
  • Contribute to establishing a peer-reviewed scientific reference in the field of educational and psychological research and studies.
  • Enable the journal to be indexed in international databases such as ISI and Scopus.
